THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	PALACE WIND (*C Dicken) was stubborn to load. Lost one length. 
b)	DONQUERARI (*G Pieterse) and SIR POM (K Matsunyane) lost one length. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At approximately the 300m, DROGARATI (C Habib) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of METALLIC GOLD (A Mgudlwa) which shifted out.  
Jockey A Mgudlwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of METALLIC GOLD, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse DROGARATI (C Habib) at approximately the 300m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days, was imposed. (Suspension Dates : 08.08.22 - 14.08.22, bdi)
b)	In the concluding stages, METALLIC GOLD (A Mgudlwa) was switched out off the heels of PHILISPIEL (*R Venniker) which was hanging in.             
c)	MASTER KEEKU (G Wright), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender advised (DZ).

a)	THE BAYOU was ridden by Jockey C Ngcobo (advised 07.08.22/7h20).
