THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) AMARANDI (C Habib) was hanging in from the 300m. b) CAPTAIN ARIANO (M Yeni) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) In the concluding stages, LAZULI (*G Pieterse) was switched out for a clear run off the heels of LIVE MY LIFE (S Veale) which was hanging in from the 200m. d) Jockey J Gates reported that PRINCESS TEA did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey R Khathi signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.4, in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on MASTERS BEAUTY resulting in a change of rider. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) LIVE MY LIFE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D R Drier advised (NS).
