Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASTLE CORNER (J R Syster) and JOHNNY DOGS (K Matsunyane) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start WAQAAS (AUS) (C Habib) was brushed in by ASHANTI SWORD (*K A Brewer) which was carried in by COMING IN HOT (G Lerena) which jumped inwards. b) At approximately the 200m, SILLY FELLA (N Klink) was carried in by JOHNNY DOGS (K Matsunyane) which shifted in away from the crop. c) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that GOLDEN TUNE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) CASTLE CORNER (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Titise advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GOLDEN TUNE was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claims a 1,5kg allowance. Stipes permission as there were no other Jockeys available. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) FULL HOUSE abnormal respiratory noise. b) BLOOMINGTON not striding out right front. c) GOLDEN TUNE examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
