THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DREAM STAR (S Khathi), MAKAHA BEACH (R Munger), HEY SIRI (Y Ramzan) and SATURN QUEEN (D Ashby) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LADYHAWKE (S Khumalo) shifted out away from the crop at the 200m. b) In the concluding stages TUFAAN (M Mjoka), which rolled in and BAVARIAN JET (R Danielson), which shifted out away from the crop, came together and brushed. c) A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board. After reviewing the patrol film from various angles, the Board was satisfied that the result had not been affected and took no further action. d) LADYHAWKE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
