THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VERIFIED (R Danielson) jumped inwards. b) CHARIOT MASTER (R Munger) jumped outwards. c) TRUMPS EXPRESS (Y Ramzan) and JACKSON MISISSIPPI (M Mjoka) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, TRUMPS EXPRESS (Y Ramzan), DANI BOI (E Webber), HORSEY (S Khumalo) and MISS UNITED STATES (M van Rensburg) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed between VERIFIED (R Danielson), which jumped inwards and CHARIOT MASTER (R Munger), which jumped outwards. b) In view of the performance of HORSEY (S Khumalo), the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer A C Greef was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this colt on return to stables. c) In view of the performance of MISS UNITED STATES (M van Rensburg), which was not persevered with from the 200m, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) VERIFIED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
