THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUTCHESSBURNEDETTE (R Danielson) was stubborn loading. b) MISS MILLSTREAM (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls. c) BAT OUT OF HELL (*P Mxoli) jumped slow, losing one length. d) TARTAN DANCER (D Bogaleboile) and OPERA SWING (D Ashby) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1400m, when racing in close proximity, MASTERS QUEEN (M van Rensburg) and OPERA SWING (D Ashby) had to steady when awkwardly placed between PINK LEGACY (S Khumalo) and BAT OUT OF HELL (*P Mxoli). b) Leaving the 500m BAT OUT OF HELL (*P Mxoli) brushed the inside running rail. c) OPERA SWING (D Ashby) was baulked for a clear run from the 500m to 400m and thereafter was switched out to continue its run. d) MISS MILLSTREAM (L Mxothwa) was hanging in from the 400m. e) Jockey M Mjoka reported that he felt something amiss with FLORIDA KEYS. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) FLORIDA KEYS (M Mjoka) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Davis) g) MASTERS QUEEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised.
