THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PIXIE IN LOVE (J Greyling) was restless in the stalls. Lost two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) NAMIBSROOS (*C Dicken) over-raced in the early stages. b) At the 1000m, CAPE PRINCESS (G Lerena) shifted out off the heels of NAMIBSROOS (*C Dicken) which shifted in. As a result, ADELANTE (S Veale) and WHERE'S THE PARTY (*D Geerthsen) were carried out, and WHERE'S THE PARTY (*D Geerthsen) over-raced for a short distance. c) ROYAL VENUS (K Sakayi) was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of this filly (12.80 lengths, 14/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) WHERE'S THE PARTY (*D Geerthsen) was hanging in and shifted in between the 350m and the 150m. e) Apprentice D Geerthsen has now ridden his 20th winner and will therefore claim a 2.5kg apprentice allowance from the conclusion of tonight's race meeting. f) WHERE'S THE PARTY (*D Geerthsen), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
