THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DESOLATE ROAD (*G Pieterse) reared on one occasion in the stalls. b) CHATTERTONS KEEPER (*R Venniker) stood losing eight lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GOODTIME GUY (G Lerena) took an awkward stride at the top of the straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey G Lerena's crop use on GOODTIME GUY in the straight. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CHATTERTONS KEEPER (*R Venniker), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 13.08.22 to the 19.08.22. CHATTERTONS KEEPER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer W Whitehead will be advised. (SL) d) DOCKOFTHEBAY (B Nyawo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Nosasa acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry advised (AH).
