THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, ARCTIC DRIFT (C Habib) was tightened and lost position. Thereafter, this gelding raced wide into the straight. b) Jockey C Orffer reported that he felt something amiss with KUUMA in the straight and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) MASTER OF DESTINY (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D R Drier advised (AH). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MASTER OF DESTINY raced with a compression mask (advised 04.08.22/12h43). b) KUUMA Jockey C Orffer weighed out at 57.3kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 56.5kg.
