THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	Fair start. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	ROTUNDA (T Godden) proved difficult proceeding to the start and in addition had to have the bridle attended to en-route to the start. In view of this, ROTUNDA is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as it proceeds to the start on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Trainer P Muscutt was advised (DA).
b)	Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt for Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse ICE SUNSATION more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey G Wright struck the horse ICE SUNSATION, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R750 was imposed.
c)	OH SO SQUISHY (*M Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee T Rich acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen advised (NS).
