Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	WILD APPLAUSE (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the right front gate leaving the stalls.
b)	TORI'S GIRL (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	KEEP HAPPY (G Lerena) and CONSCIENTIOUS (S Veale) were slow into stride. 
d)	VIVO PER LEI (M Winnaar) jumped inwards and made contact with STILL SPARKLING (K Steyn) leaving the stalls. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After jumping outward WILD APPLAUSE (R Fourie) proved difficult to correct and, as a consequence, was obliged to take up a position at the back of the field.
b)	MONEY EXTRACTOR (J Solomons) and TORI'S GIRL (G Wright) pulled hard in the early stages. 
c)	Approaching the 300m VIVO PER LEI (M Winnaar), which pulled hard in the early and middle stages, was held up behind THINGAMABOB (C Orffer) for a number of strides and had to be directed inwards. 
d)	At the 150m THINGAMABOB (C Orffer) was directed inwards away from the heels of ALESSIA ASHEVILLE (A Arries) and thereafter THINGAMABOB (C Orffer) raced tight between ALESSIA ASHEVILLE (A Arries) and VIVO PER LEI (M Winnaar) until the finish. 
e)	Jockey C Orffer reported that, in his opinion, the performance of THINGAMABOB was disappointing. The 	Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	In view of the performance of WILD APPLAUSE (R Fourie) (Betting 7/2; Distance 7.15 lengths), the Veterinary 	Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	WEHAVEASITUATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PP Kruyer was advised. (SC)
