c)	ALMAS TOWER (*P Mxoli) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gate.
d)	BIT OF FUN (F Herholdt) and MORSE (M van Rensburg) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The colour cap and goggles on Y Ramzan (SILVIA LOUISE) came adrift shortly after the start.
b)	Jockey L Mxothwa (YOUNG NELSON) briefly dropped his left-side rein at the 200m.
c)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that JACK AND GINGER (Betting 18/10; Distance 8.45) took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	After the running of this race, Jockey M van Rensburg was stood down by the course medical officer as he had flu symptoms. Rule 25.12 applies.
