THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OLIVER TWIST (L Mxothwa) and FLASH LIGHTNING (C Little) were stubborn loading. b) KYOMAI (*I Taka) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MORNING CHESS (A Arries) over raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter shifted both ways away from the crop in the straight. b) MORNING CHESS (A Arries) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers) c) CORAL CREEK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
