THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the performance of FLASHY KAITRINA (M Khan) (7.75 lengths, 4/1 in the betting) the Veterianry Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey M Khan signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with the Racing Operator's conditions of the Race, in that as the rider of FLASHY KAITRINA, he mis-used his crop by hitting this mare with his crop hand off the reins. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. c) LET'S NOT LINGER (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (NS).
