THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 100m, LOVE OF GOLD (C Habib) was carried out briefly by SAYULITA (J Gates) which was hanging out and shifted out. Thereafter, at the 50m, Jockey's C Habib's (LOVE OF GOLD) crop was accidentally struck from his hand by Jockey J Gates (SAYULITA). b) In view of the performance of ACT OF MERCY (F Herholdt) (13.75 lengths, 25/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) BONNE BOUCHE (C Ngcobo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
