THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 1100m, GUNSMOKE (*G Pieterse) was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of PURE MAVERICK (K Matsunyane) which shifted in and was then switched out. As a result, FAST LOVE (K de Melo) was carried out by PURE MAVERICK (K Matsunyane). 
b)	At the 1000m, GUNSMOKE (*G Pieterse) was steadied off the heels of PURE MAVERICK (K Matsunyane) which shifted in.  
Jockey K Matsunyane appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. 
c)	PRETTY IN PEARLS (*M Katjedi) raced detached from the field throughout. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
d)	DONQUERARI (*J Solomons) was hanging in from the 300m. 
e)	DONQUERARI (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Karriem advised (DZ).
