THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	WILKIES (*K A Brewer) and KIT KAT KATIE (J R Syster) were restless in the stalls.	
b)	QUEEN THEODORA (K Matsunyane) stumbled leaving the stalls.
c)	OCEANS PRIDE (M Thackeray) was slow into stride.
d)	WILKIES (*K A Brewer) was slow losing one length.		

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Apprentice D B Geerthsen reported that he felt something amiss with FUTURE THINKER in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 			
b)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning FUTURE THINKER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer B Webber was advised	
c)	Jockey M van Rensburg was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking GIMME THE FLAME more than twelve times in the entire race.  Jockey M van Rensburg signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R750.00 was imposed. 
When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (13) and Jockey M van Rensburg's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (1).  	
d)	BELTWAY (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
