THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SUGAR BEACH (J Greyling) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow losing two lengths.	
b)	FULL GO (D De Gouveia) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow losing one length.
c)	LABRAUSCO (*K A Brewer) jumped outwards leaving the stalls losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Apprentice R A Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with VUVUZELA UMLILO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
b)	PROSPER'S GIFT (N Klink), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (RS).
When questioned regarding the improved performance of PROSPER'S GIFT, Trainer F Bronkhorst, could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running and he was advised that should this gelding continue to display inconsistent form; it may be suspended.
c)	FUTUREWOLFF (J P van der Merwe), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer H E Adamson advised (MS).

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	VUVUZELA UMLILO was ridden by Apprentice R A Venniker who claimed a 1,5kg allowance (declared 23 August 2022 at 08H03).			
b)	SAMTHEWISEMAN was ridden by Jockey M Thackeray	(declared 23 August 2022 at 13H11).	
	Stipes permission as Jockey M Khan experienced traffic issues.	

RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a)	STARS ALIGNED raced equipped with ear muffs and without blinkers (declared 20 August 2022 at 10H10).		
b)	SUGAR BEACH raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 22 August 2022 at 08H50).	
c)	GUAPO raced with club colours (black with a blue cap).
Trainer P F Matchett is to be charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owners of the horse GUAPO.

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a)	VUVUZELA UMLILO examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
