Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOONSHININGTHROUGH (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls and thereafter stumbled badly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses who participated in this race, carried sectional timing devices in their saddle cloths. b) MOONSHININGTHROUGH (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls, thereafter as the start was effected she stumbled very badly which resulted in her head making contact with the ground. As a consequence of this, she lost momentum and gave ground to the field. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Habib reported that CONSTABLE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) FAR AWAY WINTER (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) BEVOETERD was ridden by Jockey J Penny (declared 25 August 2022 at 08H41). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BEVOETERD raced fitted with a compression mask (declared 18 August 2022 at 09H59). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) IT'S ABOUT TIME abnormal respiratory noise. b) CONSTABLE examined post race, nothing obvious detected. c) MOONSHININGTHROUGH examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
