Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TRIPLE TIME (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RUN FOR ME (M Yeni) pulled hard in the early and middle stages and was hanging out in the straight.	
b)	At the 300m a tiring ROBERT BURNS (L Mxothwa) rolled in slightly and brushed IMPETUOUS (O Noach) which became unbalanced and was turned outwards. As a consequence, IMPETUOUS (O Noach) then shifted out and bumped ROBERT BURNS (L Mxothwa) which then had to be steadied away from the heels of SUDDEN SONG (C Habib).
c)	Approaching the 100m RED WILLIAM (K Matsunyane) was momentarily steadied when racing tight between the inside running rail and DONDER STORM (C Orffer), which was awkwardly placed on the inside of TRIPLE TIME (R Fourie).	
d)	In view of the performance of ENSUING (S Khumalo) (Betting 5/1 ; Distance 15.15) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	TRIPLE TIME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (JF)
f)	SUDDEN SONG, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Crawford was advised. (CvA)
