THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Steady rain fell during the running of this race. b) MISS UNITED STATES (Y Ramzan) hung in throughout the running of the race, thereafter Jockey Y Ramzan reported that he felt something amiss with this filly. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) MISS UNITED STATES (Y Ramzan) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt) d) After the running of this race, Jockey JP van der Merwe was stood down by the course medical officer showing signs of Covid. Jockey JP van der Merwe is to produce a negative covid test prior to riding again. e) MON TRESOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised.
