a)	The tongue-tie on LIBRAN LANA (*P Mxoli) was re-fitted at the start.
b)	CHRONICLESOFNANIA (R Munger) and TEXAS TORNADO (X Ndlovu) were unruly and stubborn loading.
c)	RAY FLAMBE (M Mjoka) was stubborn loading.
d)	HEREWEGOJO (S Devoy) was nervous in the stalls.
e)	AUNTY LIBERTY (J Mphanya) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
f)	ANTONIA AUGUST (S Khathi) and LIBRAN LANA (*P Mxoli) jumped slow, losing one length.
g)	MI MI APPLE PIE (L Mxothwa) and SUGAR SNAP (R Fourie) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a) 	The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the thirty-minute interval between races.
b)	RACINANTE (M van Rensburg) and CHRONICLESOFNANIA (R Munger) made contact leaving the stalls.
c)	At the 900m LIBRAN LANA (*P Mxoli), which proved difficult to settle in the early stages, had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between ANTONIA AUGUST (S Khathi) and HEY SIRI (Y Ramzan).
d)	At the 700m Jockey M Mjoka's (RAY FLAMBE) left-side stirrup iron broke, resulting in him being unable to assist this filly in the straight. Jockey M Mjoka's equipment was examined by a member of the Stipendiary Board who was satisfied that his equipment had been in a satisfactory condition. 
e)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that TEXAS TORNADO changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	CHRONICLESOFNANIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised. (LM)
