THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUDDEN STAR (S Khumalo), after racing prominently throughout, came under pressure, tired badly and was eased out of the race from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with SUDDEN STAR in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) RAISEAHALLELUJAH (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (SM). c) LONDON ROADS, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
