THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MIA SOPHIA (C Habib) was stubborn to load. b) FOREIGN LADY (*S Hlengwa) was restless and reared in the stall. Jumped outwards leaving the stalls. Trainer G Puller will be advised to re-school this filly. c) SEASIDE GIRL (K Matsunyane) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why NAMIBSROOS (K de Melo) and MIA SOPHIA (C Habib) had to ease at approximately the 350m and again at the 200m. b) SWISS PARADISE (M Yeni) shifted both ways from the crop in the concluding stages. c) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that SEASIDE GIRL made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) TANGERINE PEARL (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer W O Marwing acting on behalf of Trainer W Marwing advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ABOUND LIGHT raced with cheek pieces (advised 04.09.22/7h52). b) NAMIBSROOS raced without a tongue tie (advised 04.09.22/7h50). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) SEASIDE GIRL : Nothing obvious detected. b) NAMIBSROOS : Severely lame right hind. Euthanased on humane grounds. Blood samples were taken for analysis.
