THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MICHELIN STAR (+P Mlangeni) and SPRING WILL COME (+X Ngcobo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) CENTRAL CITY (+S Mosia) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) En route to the start, WARRIOR THE BRAVE (+T Matsoele) cast its left front shoe which was attended to by the course farrier at the start. b) MICHELIN STAR (+P Mlangeni) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MICHELIN STAR, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised. d) CENTRAL CITY (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
