THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ANFIELDS ROCKET (*K A Brewer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) STORMY SEAS (R Simons) had difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance approaching and leaving the 300m and consequently steadied to avoid the heels of DROGHIERE (G Lerena). Thereafter, at the 200m, STORMY SEAS (R Simons) was carried outwards by DROGHIERE (G Lerena), which itself was carried out by ANFIELDS ROCKET (*K A Brewer), which shifted out sharply away from the crop. The Stewards, when assessing this incident, were satisfied that Apprentice K A Brewer had reacted immediately when his mount shifted out abruptly from the crop and had taken the necessary measures to straighten his mount. b) ANFIELDS ROCKET (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G J Maroun advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) EPIC DREAM raced without blinkers (declared 6 September 2022 at 07H11). b) MODERN MAGICIAN raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 6 September 2022 at 08H38).
