THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, STORM JEWEL (C Habib) was squeezed out between CATALEYA SUMMER (C Ngcobo) which jumped out and DUCHESS OF GOLD (K de Melo) which jumped in. b) At approximately the 800m, STORM JEWEL (C Habib) had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of JUST VIRGINIA (J Gates). c) MYTHICAL TUNE (T Gumede) was hanging in from the 500m. d) Jockey T Gumede reported that he felt something amiss with MYTHICAL TUNE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of STORM JEWEL (C Habib) (11.05 lengths, 17/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) FASHIONIGMA (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
