THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAINS WORLD (C Bantam) was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The saddle on FORT RED (C Orffer) slipped back slightly leaving the stalls. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. b) INNAMORARE (R Fourie) was hanging out on the early part of the bend. c) K Matsunyane (DOUGLAS) dropped his crop at the 250m. d) CAPTAINS WORLD (C Bantam) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt) e) LE MORNE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
