THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 900m, COUNTY KILDARE (C Habib) which commenced to over-race, had to steady in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between VICTORY BELLE (C Ngcobo) which raced green and DECLARE WAR (K Sakayi). b) At approximately the 800m, VICTORY BELLE (C Ngcobo) which raced green and commenced to over-race, ran onto and clipped the heels of CAPE PRINCESS (M Yeni). c) At approximately the 300m, COUNTY KILDARE (C Habib) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of CAPE PRINCESS (M Yeni) which rolled out. The Board, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, was satisfied that Jockey M Yeni (CAPE PRINCESS) was sufficiently clear of COUNTY KILDARE (C Habib). d) VICTORY BELLE (C Ngcobo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CAPE PRINCESS raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 08.09.22/13h21).
