THE STARTER REPORTED: a) YEMAYA (X Ndlovu) jumped slow, losing one length. b) WEEKEND IN SEATTLE (TM Musekiwa) stood and subsequently fly-jumped, losing four lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ECHOES OF WINTER (M Yeni) was re-saddled at the start, causing a delay. b) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to WEEKEND IN SEATTLE (TM Musekiwa) in stall gate 3 and were satisfied that the horse had stood of its own accord, had not been impeded in any way and took no further action. c) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that BELLA GLOBALE changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that he felt something amiss with YEMAYA. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding WEEKEND IN SEATTLE (TM Musekiwa) this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion.
