THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	CONKER THE WORLD (*J Solomons), QUESTION THE STARS (K Minnie) and POTENTE (R Fourie) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Approaching the 100m GENTLEMAN (S Khathi) shifted out away from the crop and had to be steadied away from the heels of GREAT GUY (S Khumalo).
b)	An inquiry will be held into Jockey S Khumalo's riding of GREAT MELODY in the concluding stages.
c) 	Jockeys M Yeni and K Minnie, the riders of GREAT GUY and QUESTION THE STARS respectively, reported that these geldings did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with GLOBAL DESIGN. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	In view of the performance of THE CARPENTER (X Nldovu) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
