Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ROYAL INVITATION (G Wright) was fractious in the stalls, dropped its head down shortly before the start was effected and jumped awkwardly, losing four lengths.
b)	I'LL SLIP AWAY (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls.
c)	HUNDREDFIFTHAVENUE (D de Gouveia) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to ROYAL INVITATION (G Wright) in gate 6 and established that the filly had thrown her head down shortly before the start was effected and that the Handler assigned to her had held the filly as a consequence. Acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2 the Stewards ruled that ROYAL INVITATION (G Wright) had been impeded and declared her to be a non-runner. 
b)	SPARKLING CRYSTAL (JP van der Merwe), which was ridden forward from a wide draw, raced wide on the bend and into the straight.
c)	Approaching the 300m YOUREYESONLY (C Bantam) shifted in away from the crop and had to be straightened.
d)	At the 100m HUNDREDFIFTHAVENUE (D de Gouveia) was carried out by YOUREYESONLY (C Bantam) which shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding I'LL SLIP AWAY (K de Melo), Trainer GW Ennion will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.	
f)	In view of the report from the starter regarding ROYAL INVITATION (G Wright), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 18/09/2022 to 24/09/2022 inclusive). ROYAL INVITATION may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	I'LL SLIP AWAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (SC)
