THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NAMIBIAN QUEEN (D de Gouveia) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) EVERLASTING (S Khumalo) jumped outwards and carried SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL (L Mxothwa) and JAM JAM (C Habib) outwards. c) JAM JAM (C Habib) and BLIND FAITH (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) From a wide draw LA MAS BELLA (C Zackey) was unable to get cover and, as a consequence, over raced and raced wide on the bend and into the straight. b) At the 200m JAM JAM (C Habib) took an awkward stride away from the inside running rail. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) HEAR MY VOICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PD Reeves was advised.
