THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	ETHIOPIAN QUEEN (*M Katjedi) jumped awkwardly losing one length. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start, CALULO (W Kennedy) and STING RAY (C Ngcobo) came together and bumped. 
b)	Approaching the 900m, MAQUETTE (M Yeni) was brushed in by BECKONING BEAUTY (*S Hlengwa) which rolled in marginally. 
c)	BECKONING BEAUTY (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 250m.
d)	In the concluding stages, ETHIOPIAN QUEEN (*M Katjedi) which rolled out marginally and MAQUETTE (M Yeni) which shifted in, came together and bumped. As a consequence of this, MAQUETTE (M Yeni) became unbalanced and took an awkward stride.  
e)	Jockey C Ngcobo reported that he felt something amiss with STING RAY in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested. 
f)	ETHIOPIAN QUEEN (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (DZ).
