THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FATHER'S FROST (K Matsunyane) was stubborn to load. Trainer K Naidoo will be advised to re-school this gelding. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 300m, LIFE GOES ON (C Habib) was carried in by HOOVES OF TROY (*D Geerthsen) which was hanging in badly from the 400m. b) MR HENLEY (K de Melo) was baulked for a clear run between the 400m and the 350m. Thereafter, this gelding was switched out to obtain a clear run. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with LIFE GOES ON in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) KNIGHT WARRIOR (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) LIFE GOES ON : Nothing obvious detected on the trot.
