THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, RED SOLE (S Veale) was brushed out by GALABIER (*M Zuma) which jumped out. b) MANHATTEN CAFE (T Godden) was hanging in from the 350m. c) Shortly after the finish, Apprentice M Zuma (GALABIER) lost his footing from the right-side stirrup iron. As a result, he became unbalanced and was dislodged. Thereafter, he was attended to by the Course Paramedics and taken to the Course Medical Centre. Consequently, Apprentice Zuma was incapacitated from weighing back in. The Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. d) Jockey C Habib reported that QUICK STAR made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MANHATTEN CAFE (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (BB). f) RED SOLE (S Veale), placed fifth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D R Drier advised (DZ).
