THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 200m, CAPTAIN WHO (A Mgudlwa) which rolled in, was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of AL'S MY DADDY (C Habib) which rolled out marginally. b) Apprentice M Katjedi (METALLIC GOLD) accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish. c) TOP WESSELTON (J P v'd Merwe) raced wide throughout. d) Jockey J P v'd Merwe signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that as the rider of TOP WESSELTON, he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out. Accordingly, a fine of R1000 was imposed. e) RALPH THE RASCAL (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (NS).
