THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PAPA C (M Mjoka) jumped out leaving the starting stalls, raced wide into the first turn and lost a significant distance. Thereafter, this colt was hanging out from the 200m. b) ETIQUETTE (J Gates) was hanging in from the 400m. c) In view of the performance of LOVE BOMB (M V'Rensburg) (5.75 lengths, 9/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) CONQUER THE ENEMY (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LOVE BOMB raced equipped with blinkers (advised 03.01.22/7h25). b) PAPA C Jockey M Mjoka weighed out at 51.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 51kg.
