Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MARREE MAN (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	GEORGIE GEORGE (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start ROCK ON TOMMY (R Fourie) and MASTER POINT (*J Solomons) were steadied when tightened for galloping room between CANNATONIC (S Veale) and GRANDADDY PURPLE (L Tarentaal) which shifted out leaving the stalls.
b)	Leaving the 900m GYPSY EXPRESS (S Cele) rolled out and had to be steadied away from the heels of GRANDADDY PURPLE (L Tarentaal).
c)	After being slow to begin MARREE MAN (C Orffer), which raced green, raced detached from the field in the early stages.
d)	At the 300m GYPSY EXPRESS (S Cele) was steadied momentarily when tightened for galloping room between CANNATONIC (S Veale) and HOT ICE (A Domeyer), which was hanging out, shifted out and was immediately straightened. 
e)	CAPTAIN CASANOVA (A Mgudlwa) raced green.
f)	CANNATONIC (S Veale) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt)
g) 	Jockey S Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 25.3.1 in that he failed to present his Medical Record Book to the Clerk of Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first race in which he had his engagement. Jockey S Veale signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00. Jockey S Veale was examined by the course doctor and declared fit to ride.
h)	GEORGIE GEORGE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised. (TJ)
