Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JAZZBELLA (R Fourie) was reluctant to load. b) PRINCESS LOUISA (O Noach) was restless in the stalls. c) MOONLITE NIGHT (L Tarentaal) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The ear muffs declared for SUMMER NIGHT CITY (S Cele) had to be fitted prior to it's leaving the parade ring, causing a delay. b) Trainer AE Sands was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented SUMMER NIGHT CITY in the parade ring incorrectly equipped. Trainer AE Sands signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00. c) SUMMER NIGHT CITY (S Cele) raced awkwardly with its head up and proved difficult to settle in the early stages. d) ELSAS PALACE (*J Solomons) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. e) Jockey L Tarentaal (MOONLITE NIGHT) dropped his crop leaving the 300m. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding PRINCESS LOUISA (O Noach) Trainer PAW Botha will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding JAZZBELLA (R Fourie), Trainer SJ Snaith will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. h) FLYING FIRST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised.
