THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INTOXICATING (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride. b) POMOZELOUS (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GREGARIOUS GAL (S Khumalo) and PONDEROSA PINE (D De Gouveia) over-raced in the early stages. b) Shortly before the finish line, POMOZELOUS (C Habib) was steadied and switched out to avoid the heels of GREGARIOUS GAL (S Khumalo) which shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m. c) INTOXICATING (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Dawson advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
