THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GREEN FALCON (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride.
b)	SEVEN CITIES (S Cele) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The bit on CARRIACOU slipped through this colt's mouth when Jockey M Yeni attempted to straighten CARRIACOU, which shifted in shortly after the start. Thereafter CARRIACOU (M Yeni) over raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	RUN AWAY FIRE (G Behr) raced green on the bend.
c)	Approaching the 100m STRATOSPHERIC (R Fourie) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between GREEN FALCON (G van Niekerk) and MASTER JOSH (L Mxothwa), both of which shifted ground marginally. Thereafter GREEN FALCON (G van Niekerk) had to be steadied when close to the heels of CARRIACOU (M Yeni), which shifted out shortly before the finish.
d)	ENSUING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
