THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VENETA (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice MK Katjedi (CONKER THE WORLD) dropped his crop leaving the 100m. b) Leaving the 50m CARBONADO (L Mxothwa) was severely cramped for galloping room, had to be checked and made contact with CROWN PLAZA (K de Melo), when racing on the outside of MUR MUR (T Gould). As a consequence, CROWN PLAZA (K de Melo) rolled out away from CARBONADO (L Mxothwa) and made contact with CONKER THE WORLD (*MK Katjedi). An Inquiry will be opened into this incident. c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that MISS VENEZUELA changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) MY AMI BEACH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
