THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CYBER TIME (J Gates) and TWICE GOLDEN (*M Katjedi) lost two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GREY LINNGARI (*S Hlengwa) and DOUBLE ESPRESSO (*M Zuma) commenced to over-race in the early stages. b) In the concluding stages, WITH PLEASURE (K de Melo) was carried in marginally by SEA MASTER (R Fourie) which was hanging in from the 200m. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward and after reviewing this incident from the various angles, no further action was taken. c) Apprentice G Pieterse reported that he felt something amiss with PAYBACKTHEMONEY in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of COLOUR MASTER (A Mgudlwa) (32.25 lengths, 100/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SEA MASTER (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Hewitson advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PAYBACKTHEMONEY raced equipped with blinkers and with a tongue tie (advised 09.10.22/7h50). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) PAYBACKTHEMONEY : Nothing obvious detected. b) COLOUR MASTER : Not striding out right hind. c) HEY BILL : Brush wound left hind.
