THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAJESTIC WARRIOR (T Godden) was stubborn to load. Trainer P Muscutt will be advised to re-school this gelding. b) LOU LOU THE LEGEND (K de Melo) was stubborn to load. Slow into stride. c) GIJIMA MFANA (A Mgudlwa) was slow into stride. d) BOOK OF DREAMS (N Patel) lost two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) POLITICAL PARTY (R Fourie) jumped in leaving the starting stalls. As a result, Jockey R Fourie restrained and straightened this colt immediately. Consequently, POLITICAL PARTY lost ground to the field. b) SOUR DIESEL (M Mjoka) and DAWN MISSION (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped leaving the starting stalls. As a result, SOUR DIESEL (M Mjoka) shifted in and made contact with TRITON (S Moodley). c) ZOOBERI (A Arries) shifted out away from the crop at the 200m. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with POWER STAR in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) ZOOBERI (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) POWER STAR raced with a compression mask and cheek pieces (advised 07.10.22/8h49). b) SOUR DIESEL raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 04.10.22/9h25).
