THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LADY WRITER (L Mxothwa) was fractious loading.
b)	SENHORA VICTORIA (G Behr) and DESTINED TO DANCE (O Noach) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 300m MARY LAMB (K de Melo), which raced green and was hanging in, rolled in and had to be steadied away from the heels of SOFT TOUCH (C Habib).
b)	Approaching the 200m SHORT SHARP SHOCK (C Zackey) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between RAFEEF'S CHOICE (G van Niekerk), which was hanging out and shifted out slightly, and TRIP TO BARBERTON (R Fourie), which was improving on the outside of SHORT SHARP SHOCK (C Zackey) and shifted in. Jockey R Fourie appeared before the Board and was advised to take more care in similar circumstances.
c)	The saddled on SENHORA VICTORIA (G Behr) slipped back slightly in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
d)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with RAFEEF'S CHOICE. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey O Noach reported that DESTINED TO DANCE did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f) 	In view of the report from the starter regarding LADY WRITER (L Mxothwa), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 13/10/2022 to 19/10/2022 inclusive). LADY WRITER may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	TRIP TO BARBERTON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
