THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DIFFERENT DRUM (T Gould) pulled hard in the early stages. b) From a wide draw SULTANAH (W Agrella) was allowed to race forward and was unable to get cover. As a consequence, SULTANAH (W Agrella) then commenced to over race and raced clear of the field in the early and middle stages. c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that LUCY BELLE, which pulled hard in the early stages, did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) ALASKAN FATE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
