b)	LIGHT OF DAY (M Yeni) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Approaching the 1300m, JUST A MEMORY (*R A Venniker), which rolled out, had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of MO JIVE (K Matsunyane), which rolled in when awkwardly placed on the inside of DESTINY OF SOULS (J P van der Merwe). 
b)	Jockey R Munger, the rider of MERIDIUS, accidentally dropped his crop at the 50m.	
c)	Apprentice K A Brewer reported that UMTHOMBO WOLWAZI changed stride continually in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
d)	Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with DESTINY OF SOULS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 	
e)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to VESUVIO, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. 
Suspension dates: 16 October 2022 to 22 October 2022.  VESUVIO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer T Zackey was advised.  	
f)	FAST LOVE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
