THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AFRICA'S ROCK (*RA Venniker) was stubborn loading. b) MHLABENI (M Mjoka) was nervous in the stalls. c) BOLD RESOLVE (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. d) GOLD ROCK (R Munger) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1200m AFRICA'S ROCK (*RA Venniker) was steadied when racing in restricted galloping room on the inside of MOTOR CITY HITMAN (S Khumalo), which raced tight on the inside of EL ROMIACHI (E Webber), which pulled hard in the early stages. b) IVALO'S PRINCE (*S Sosibo) was steadied away from the heels of EL ROMIACHI (E Webber) leaving the 1200m. c) BOLD RESOLVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
