THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NICE MOVE (*P Mxoli) was slow into stride. b) CHOPSTICKS (J P van der Merwe) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) SOUTHERN STYLE (J Mariba) and DOUBLE JOY (C Maujean) were stubborn loading. d) LADY REGENT (K de Melo) was stubborn loading. Trainer C Dawson was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, FLYING SPIRIT (*S Sosibo) became unbalanced when bumped in by CHOPSTICKS (J P van der Merwe) which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that CHOPSTICKS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with DOUBLE JOY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) NICE MOVE (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
